It’s been 1 year and 6 months since I started my dreadlocks. I have had many different hairstyles in my life, but dreads seem to be the best look for me. I love the natural look of dreads and seeing dreads becoming more common to have in society is great.
Before I had dreadlocks I would always have to comb my hair before I left the house, I was so eager to having the perfect look. Now I don’t have to do much besides make my hair neater simply by just moving my hair out my face or putting it up in a bun. Although I love the simple and easy look of having dreads, I also love styling my hair in ponytails and getting creative with other looks, such as braids. Dreadlocks will give you a lot of patience because when you first start them you realize that they don’t happen over night, it will take a few months before you will see any results. This gave me time to forget about my hair and realize that my hair isn’t a big deal, eventually I started seeing my hair knot up together and the dreadlocks began!
Bob Marley inspired many people to get dreadlocks. As a kid I always loved his hair and his positive music. Bob Marley is probably one of the main reasons why I decided to get dreadlocks. What I love most about Bobs dreads is that they are free formed dreads, meaning that he didn’t do force manipulatation with his hair, having free form dreads will give you a unique look.
Most people I know that have dreadlocks are very positive people. What I love most about people with dreads is that they can have a cool story behind them or a amazing reason on why they wanted them. For me, having dreadlocks can be a spiritual journey. Although it’s just hair I still love how people see their dreads in a positive, spiritual way of life.
I’m glad that I started my Dreadlock journey. Having this hairstyle has got me a lot of compliments and I even inspired people to getdreads too. I don’t feel that my hair is a journey anymore, my hair is more of a lifestyle now and my identity!

Northern California and Southern California are such beautiful places, yet they can be a little different. Either way I feel that you still will get a great California experience.
Southern California is known for the Mojave desert, Los Angeles and Coachella. Many people love SoCal because of the weather, some prefer hot sunny days and being able to visit the beach regularly. Surfing is popular and locals love SoCal because of that. Being able to do a lot of activities here is great, sometimes during winter it would feel like its spring for a week. The weather can be the best escape, if you love sunny days and warm weather then Southern California is the place to be.
Northern California seems to excite me more. It’s home to the redwood forest, San Fransico and the amazing Lake Tahoe. If you love camping in deep forests and enjoying some good weather, a little colder then SoCal, but it all depends on the person, then this is a great place for you. I enjoy colder climates with snow and lots of rain every now and then. By far Northern California is a great place and I love everything it has to offer.
Southern California and Northern California are amazing places. California in general is amazing. Both areas can have a lot of similar vibes. Big bear has snow, you can compare it with some parts of Northern California. There are other parts in Southern California that are related up north, such as Idlywild and many other forest close to the mountains. In the end I love all of California and what it has to offers. I feel weither you go to Southern California or Northern California you will still get a great California experience!
What do you enjoy more, do you think that it’s a major difference?

Winter is one of my most favorite times of the year, it’s the time for the holidays and being able to get together with family. Weither it’s going snow boarding or building a snowman, many people have different activities that they choose to do during winter, here is what I love about this cozy time of the year!
The snow reminds us that winter has arrived, getting us ready for any trips that we can make to go skiing, snowboarding or just building a snowman, the snow is always good, especially when it snows on Christmas!
2. Get cozy
Cold weather is great for wearing comofy pajamas, drinking hot chocolate and relaxing is such a great feeling.
Rainy days are my favorite, it gives you a relaxing vibe. Sitting by the fire place with friends and family is great!
I live in Southern California, it can get very hot here. Being able to have some cold days can be good and a is always a relief from the hot days sunny days that we have.
5. The Holidays
The holidays are my favorite, spending time with family for thanksgiving is a great time to catch up with family. Christmas is also one of my most favs, seeing awesome houses decorated with colorful lights is awesome.
Winter is great for me because I mainly love to wear coats and sweaters, being able to finally bring out my peacoat is always a good feeling.
Growing up in California my whole life has been amazing! California has the best beaches that I have been to and greatest cities that I have ever been so far. California is my home, this what I love most about this great state.
California is known for its beaches, the beach is my favorite place especially spending half of my life living in the desert, so whenever I go to the beach it’s basically the best local vacation. The beaches can range from very active and social to a calm and relaxing vibe depending on where you go.
California is known for having great weather for activities outside. Although sometimes our weather can change randomly most of the time, some nights can be freezing! Expect a rainy day and waking up to a hot day.
Los Angeles is a great tourist city, many people find LA as a great vacation. I grew up mostly in a suburban town so whenever I visit Los Angeles or any major city in general I get excited by the big buildings and bright lights at night! Same goes for cities such as Sam Fransico and San Diego!
4. Get away from the city
For some people, living in a big city isn’t what they want, sometimes people just want to live somewhere less busy. Cities like Riverside is great for people that want to raise families or more close to nature.
Coachella is one of the greatest music festivals in California, awesome musicians perform there each year. If you are in California really think about attending this great event that happens each year!
6. Foggy mornings
Foggy mornings are quite known in my location, in my area I live in the mountains so I experience a lot of fog! waking up to a foggy morning can be amazing and gives a cozy feeling.
