Pollution 2016 And How We Are Fixing It

Recently I watched a documentary called ” Before The Flood ” starring Leonardo DiCaprio. At first I just clicked on the video out of random, but something about this documentary really caught my attention and I put my phone down and focused myself on what Leonardo was explaining in the beginning and realized it was about how our earth is being polluted. Understanding more about pollution and world problems really woke me up and reminded me that we still have these problems that need to be solved. Coming together as a people and getting information about this is important, change is important. This documentary has received a lot of controversy since it was released back in October. More people are being aware of pollution and understanding that earth is hurting.

” You are the last best hope of Earth. We ask you to protect it or we, and all living things we cherish, are history “.

Jaden Smiths Just Water

Jaden Smith has had the idea of helping the environment since he was 10.

Jaden Smiths quote at the 2016 Environmental Media Awards

” My passion for the environment started when I was young, I was 10 and I was surfing and I saw all of the water being pulluted by the plastics that were in the ocean and I started to study more and more in school and see the pacific patch was a real real thing and that bio plastics breaking down was a real thing and was getting in the food chain of everything that we eat in the ocean, and I was just so hurt by this because as 10 year old boy I had no idea that this was happening at all. I talked to my parents about it and said guys this is happening, I don’t know what to do, but I want to be apart of the solution and be apart of the change”.

Jaden Smith has created a water bottle that will help the environment. Just Water bottle is made out of 83%percent mineral resources. Jaden has dedicated his life on the bottle to make sure that one day it will be made out of 100% mineral resources. What I love about hearing this news is that it only shows that as a people we can help change the way we live and make the enviorment around us better.

Humans Are Also Effected By Pollution
Growing up I always worried about the animals around me. Doing more research and understanding that not only are we effecting animals, but we are also hurting ourself. Below is a list of side effects of being effected by pollution.

  1. Allergies
  2. Asthma
  3. Irritation to eyes
  4. Nassel passages
  5. 5.Other forms of respiratory infections

There are many ways to prevent pollution and help make the environment you live in better, it can be the most simipliest activity such as recycling etc. I feel that more people are becoming aware and are trying to make a change. Knowing how pollution effects your health is important. Large groups of people are coming together to make a change to help with the enviorment and making a difference in the world. The more we know the better, and faster we will see the results.

5 Things I love About Living In The Mountains

Living in the mountains can be the perfect vacation or permanent living. Either way the mountains can be one of the most amazing and beautiful escape for most people.

    1. View

Waking up every morning and looking outside my window and seeing the landscape and the continuous mountains from the distance is such a warm feeling. It reminds me how beautiful earth is!

    2. Exercise

You can get the best work out by living in the mountains. Going for a run around the hills is such a intense work out, it will keep you more in touch with nature while staying fit outdoors!

    3. Explore!

Exploring your area is really awesome, finding new locations and new trails is such a great experience, I found a small forest that I didn’t know about! If you live near mountains you should really go on a adventure, you’ll never know what you will find.

    4. Wild life

If you live in the mountains you probably came across snakes, coyotes or even bears. The more you go in nature you will realize that that you are not alone. Giving these animals space is the best respect. One day I was walking and looking straight ahead without looking at the ground, I heard a bush move and as I turned around there was a rattlesnake standing tall looking right at me as I ran. Ever since that day I became more aware of my surroundings when in nature, be safe!

    5. Beauty

After exploring, jogging or just relaxing with friends, it’s a great idea to take the time and look at your surroundings in a positive way and being grateful to be able to experience the great moments that you had. Getting more out in nature is wonderful and great for humans to be in their natural habitat!

    Living With Coyotes

For the past 3 years I have been living in the mountains of Southern California, I never noticed any wildlife on the hills besides snakes and rabbits, but for the past few months there has been numerous coyote attacks and it seems to get worse.

My Dog Meets A Coyote Pack

One early morning my dog decided to run out the gate unexpectedly. I didn’t notice that she was gone until I seen her minutes later running around the mountains, at first I wasn’t worried because she would usually come back, but this time she decided to stay out longer. As I kept looking to see what she was up to I then noticed a group of coyotes that she was approaching, I quickly started running torwards her and the coyotes and by the time I got to their location they all begin to run up higher, I paused and realized that the coyotes were not attacking my dog and they were playing but I also remembered that coyotes sometimes play first with they’re prey. Finally after about 10 minutes of them playing my dog came to me very tired and exhausted, that was my first time coming close to a group of coyotes!

    Coyotes Attack Neighbors dogs

Weeks later after my dog met the local coyote pack everything seemed fine and I haven’t seen any coyotes ever since then. One afternoon I heard dogs barking for longer then I usually do, I soon looked out my window and seconds later I see a coyote biting a small dog by the neck and as I looked over more to the right another coyotes did the same. This was shocking and I quickly went outside to yell to my neighbors to notify them. There wasnt much that I could do because by the time I would of ran across of the field they would of been gone, that was another day that I seen coyotes in action and soon then realized that coyotes are not so playful.

Coyotes make a lot of noise!

During the day you might not never hear a coyote as for when night calls you would never hear the end of it. I noticed that the coyotes usually come out around 11:00 PM at night, they will make so much noise to the point where they could wake you up out of your sleep. By 12:00 AM the pack of coyotes go hunting and ever once and a while I would hear a animal getting attacked by the coyotes.
